At Family SOS, our volunteers are the heart of our organization. They contribute in various ways, from guest speaking engagements to fund development and general maintenance. We couldn't achieve our mission without their dedication and support.
What We Look for in Volunteers:
We welcome individuals with diverse skills, interests, and backgrounds. Whether you have a few hours a week or a month to spare, we have opportunities to suit your availability and interests. We encourage creativity and welcome any unique ideas you may have!

Weekly and Monthly Volunteer Opportunities:
Community Food Market: Help us set up and pack food items at our weekly Community Food Market outside our Greystone Facility. Interact with community members as they gather their items.
Guest Speaker or Program Lead: Share your expertise and passion by leading a session on an interesting topic for our children, youth, or parenting programs. Previous topics include fitness classes, science experiments, and gardening workshops.
Meals and Baking: Prepare meals or baked goods at home and donate them for specific meals. Call ahead at 902-455-5515 to plan donations.
Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Group Maintenance Projects: Join us for gardening, painting, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks. These projects are excellent team-building exercises and can involve large groups of volunteers.
Fundraising Volunteers: Help us plan corporate or group events or join an event planning committee.
